Looking for a fractional CTO? What you probably need is a software department.

The fractional CTO market sells advice — strategy decks, vendor reviews, a monthly call. Useful, until something breaks at 2 a.m. and the deck doesn't answer. Most fractional CTOs advise. We also answer the pager.

What we do

The Embedded plan is a fractional technology leader with hands. A monthly planning call sits in your roadmap — where your systems go next, what to build, what to leave alone. Three active work slots ship the decisions. Around-the-clock monitoring and included after-hours incident response back it all. Strategy that has to survive its own consequences.

Proof

Thirty years of systems leadership — national retailers, insurers, government — and a shop that runs its own platform daily.

What it costs

Embedded is $5,000 a month, flat. The advice-only fractional market runs $4,000 to $15,000 — without the hands, without the pager. A junior hire’s loaded cost runs higher still, with none of the range. Prices in CAD.

Questions people actually ask

How is this different from a consultant?

A consultant recommends and leaves. We recommend, build it, run it, and answer when it breaks. The recommendation has to survive us living with it.

What if we outgrow it?

Then we should talk — that’s a good problem, and there’s a bigger conversation waiting for it.
